The creation of Alalay sa Pamilya at Bayan Foundation, Inc. (APBF) is an offshoot of the sought-after Character Education program that was being offered to several public schools in Metro Manila, previously under the auspices of PCDW of Mrs. Brown. Up to 16 June 2010, these schools were:
  1. 9 de Febrero Elementary School, Mandaluyong City
  2. Pleasant Hills Elementary School, Mandaluyong City
  3. Ramon Magsaysay High School, Cubao
The components of the Program are: Character Education (Values formation), Catechism, extra-curricular Seminars, and Livelihood, in addition to Academic tutorials.

On the event photos above: (L-R, then down) A short program hosted by Dr. Antonio Torralba (UA&P) to explain the Vision and Mission of the new Foundation; A song number rendition by the constituents of one of the beneficiary schools; Certificate of Appreciated being presented to Mr. and Mrs. Brown for the effort and magnanimous services rendered to 9 de Pebrero Elementary School; and a Response from Mrs. Annabelle P. Brown. It was also her birthday :-)

During the launch, it was announced that another school has been added to the roster of schools that need to be attended to, as well as more year levels for R. Magsaysay High School. So APBF is calling on YOU to help out and volunteer! :-) Teaching is held every Saturday. You may choose the school and the schedule of your preference .
